I am from
Omaha, Nebraska
. I graduated
Millard North High School
in 1997.
I received a B.A. in Computer Science from the
University of Nebraska-Omaha
in 2002, where I was generously supported by the
Walter Scott Jr. Scholarship
from
The Peter Kiewit Institute
.
I attended the
University of California-Riverside
for a few years (2002-2006), working in the
Computational Cognition Lab
, picking up an M.S. in Cognitive Psychology along the way.
I received my PhD from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison
in June 2012. I worked in the
Infant Learning Lab
and the
Language and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab
. I was generously supported by a
predoctoral grant
from the
National Institutes of Health
.
I worked for three years as a postdoctoral researcher at
Indiana University's
Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences
. I am involved in a number of projects in collaboration with
Dr. Michael Jones's
Cognitive Computing Lab
, and
Dr. David Pisoni's
Speech Research Lab.
I worked for three years as an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Psychology
at the
University of California Riverside
